MEET JEFF GILLIGAN
Founder of HES Hockey
Jeff stands as the go-to skills trainer in the GTA, having worked with a diverse range of players from minor league prospects to OHL and professional athletes. His notable career began playing AAA, leading to an OHL draft by the Owen Sound Attack in 2012. Jeff played for two impactful years before retiring due to a heart condition. Soon after, his unwavering passion for the game found a new outlet through skills training and coaching the next generation.
Jeff's coaching philosophy goes beyond skill development; it's about instilling confidence, commitment, and fostering unparalleled work ethic.
Every training session is characterized by a positive and engaging atmosphere, prioritizing the holistic development of his players. Jeff is dedicated to unlocking personal excellence in each athlete he works with, employing unique and creative methods tailored to diverse skill levels. This was brought to light in 2022, his first year as a forward coach for the Halton Hurricanes where 12 of his U16AAA players were drafted to the OHL.
Jeff's impact extends far beyond the rink. He has been featured on various platforms, including the NHL, Good Morning America, FanDuel commercials, TSN's Jay and Dan, and various collaborations including CCM Hockey House Boston 2023, NHL Stadium Series 2023, and the NHL All-Star Game 2024.
